Dang, I really envy how you see things in a creative way. You're always in the right place at the right time. This one is absolutely splendid. Great one!

  2. danthro says:

did you combine these from two images or did this place really look like this? either way, cool shot!

  3. Ilan says:

danthro - Of course the photo was taken as is :). They had some repairs in MoMA so I was lucky to capture this moment. Thanks for your comment!

That is good on so many levels. I like your framing, the optical illusion it creates... All in all a wonderful shot Ilan. Well done.

This is really terrific. Great framing and idea.

  9. le corbeau says:

une photo trés graphique, avec un cadre dans le cadre, excellent cadrage et bien vu.

  10. daina says:

Exceptional and marvelous. The contrast between the pattern and texture in the foreground to the far view is striking and your framing of it impeccable. It is usually reality that frames art but in this it seems reversed. The abstract pattern is framing reality.

  11. Mindy

Well spotted. You perfectly framed this perfectly framed scene. Love teh patterns and lines.

  12. andy stenz

Wow - this one really plays with the eyes! Nice framing and composition.

  13. Markus Spring says:

wow - well seen end very deliberately executed. It's a bit a trompe l'oeil - I had to look twice until I got the spatial arrangement. Definitely a keeper.

    Best regards - Markus

  14. Marcie says:

  25. Vortex Bits says:

I had a hard time figuring if the wall of ants was really a wall and if you had simply pasted the image of the man at work on it. Great shot, indeed.

  26. pictalogue says:

    Great shot !
Ants, workers, all busy doing their thing :-)

  27. cat says:

When I first saw this, I actually thought that you'd taken a photo of a work of art and that the guy fixing something to the wall is part of the concept of the ant theme...

But you've actually created the work of art :) It's fantastic, I love the concept as well as the lines and rectangles in the shot, it's really clever.

  28. Jonas says:

    Great graphic compo!

  29. Larry says:

This is awesome work. The framing is perfect, both in camera and then the use of the doorway, the way the stairs lead up just from the side of the door. Focus is tack-sharp. And the ants are just give the whole thing a surreal quality.
